Trail Overview

This 9.4-mile-long section of Pyramid Peak starts just off Little Naches Road at the Pyramid Creek Trailhead. It climbs up the hillside and winds through the forest for .7 miles before passing through the Kaner Flats Sno-Park. From there, it continues north, paralleling Little Naches Road as mostly a wide, fast, and flowy trail that gets heavy use as it is one of the closest trails to many of the staging areas for this trail system. The trail has lots of whoops and wide sections. It side-hills along the mountainside through a dense forest with lots of shade, with frequent embedded roots, rock layers, and loose rocks, adding mild technical features that are not overly difficult. The trail is very long and repetitive, with similar terrain throughout the 9 miles. It stays very gradual, with short climbs up and down the hillsides, with mild exposure and several small wooden bridge crossings. There are frequent bailouts as it crosses several forest roads that connect back to Little Naches Road. It’s easy to follow and is a good warm-up ride. Expect to see other dirt bikers, especially on summer weekends, as this is a popular area. The forest here is very dry, so the trail gets very dusty. The trail was cleared of any downfall by early summer, as this looks to be a well-maintained trail system.
