Trail Overview

This is an easy trail that is mainly dirt with gravel. The trail has a few washouts and ruts but nothing that is overly challenging. There is one area of the trail where low-clearance vehicles might scrape their underbody. The trail leads to Fredrickson Road which can be used as a connecting point for access to the main Powder Horn Trail via the PH-3000 trail. You might encounter a few downed trees along the trail but most of them are small and passable. The trail is wide enough in most areas to allow for passing and there are a few areas that could be used for dispersed camping.

Small washouts and small ruts are abundant on this trail. Small downed trees, that are passable, are also possible on this trail. The ruts can fill with water and mud during the rainy seasons.

Trail is easily passable by a stock SUV or truck. The forest is gorgeous through here. The powerline roads that cross the trail offered my Jeep JL Rubicon on 35s to get some low range 4x4 action. Powerline roads were muddy , rutty , steep and challenging.

All the main trails are gravel roads. But some off shoot small trails are bit more challenging in this area. The PH-4010 trail was interesting with some deep ruts and easily a rating 3.
