Trail Overview
This is a very old, not very well-maintained forest service road that is best driven just before you plan to get a new paint job. The road is a narrow two-track shelf road that, for the most part, is steep. Many times, there is zero-foot sight distance ahead as you plow through the tree branches at 2 miles an hour. There are very few places that open up enough to catch a view of where you are in the world, but when you do, they are cool views showing you how steep the terrain is to the sides. This is not a road suited for a full-size or tall vehicle.
Difficulty
The road itself is not technical. Dirt two-track most of the way. Most mid- to small vehicles can navigate this road with ease. Having said that, the sheer amount of vegetation you have to drive through, not around, is enormous and covers 70% to 80% of the trail. You WILL NOT avoid scratches on your rig or branches to the face if in an open cab or on a motorcycle.
