Lizard Lake Borup - FS 5403

Lizard Lake Borup - FS 5403 is a peaceful drive through the heart of the Okanogan-Wenatchee National Forest, winding through dense evergreen forests with occasional openings that reveal sweeping mountain views. The route offers a quiet backcountry experience with opportunities to spot deer, elk, black bear, and a variety of birds along the way. The drive ends at a scenic overlook that provides an excellent view of the surrounding ridges and valleys, making it a perfect place to stop for photos or enjoy a meal. This area is a great base for exploring the surrounding forest. There are several dispersed camping opportunities along the road, and nearby trails provide access for hiking and wildlife viewing. During hunting season, the area is popular with hunters, while the surrounding forests offer plenty of opportunities to explore side roads and discover secluded viewpoints.
