Trail Overview
This is a dirt-based road on State of Washington land in the Wenas unit. A Discover Pass is required to enjoy this area. The trail is narrow, one lane, and two-track in some areas. There are places to pass, and the road dead ends with no access to Highway 12, so you must backtrack to Mud Lake Road to exit. There are ruts and washouts up to a foot deep, and the entire trail is bumpy with rock garden sections. Near the end, the road narrows even more and has a ledge with a small drop-off into the canyon, just before a section of the trail where you drive over rocks and boulders that cover the entire trail, and shortly after that, the trail ends at a locked gate. There are no amenities on this trail, and cell phone service is weak. Camping is allowed along the entire trail, but travel prepared as you are over an hour from the nearest services or supplies.
