Trail Overview

Blue Grouse (FS 460) is a 2-mile out-and-back route through Kaniksu National Forest. This single-lane dirt and silt road follows a ridgeline through the forest and has no significant obstacles. A couple of downed trees and some brush encroachment make the road narrow in spots. The route ends at a turnaround at the end of the road. Blue Grouse is open to all vehicles.

Difficulty

Blue Grouse (FS 460) is rated easy. The road is generally smooth and straightforward, with brush and a couple of downed trees creating the main challenges. Most high-clearance vehicles should have little difficulty under normal conditions.
