Route 685

Route 685 begins at the left fork of the road, while the right fork continues onto Route 818. This well-maintained county gravel road is free of major obstacles and provides a peaceful route through the surrounding countryside. Currently, the trail has a somewhat bumpy surface, but it is not overly rough and remains an enjoyable drive. Users may also encounter sporadic mud puddles along the route, particularly following wet weather. Route 685 parallels Craig Creek for much of its length and provides several opportunities to enjoy the water along the way. While there are a few areas where users can access the creek for recreation, most access points are posted as private property, so users should respect all signs and boundaries. The trail eventually comes to a dead end marked by an "End State Maintenance" sign. Overall, Rte 685 is a scenic and relaxing gravel route with beautiful creekside scenery.
