Trail Overview

Rabbit Ridge is an easy two-track county road that rides right along the Dickenson and Russell county lines. This remote route takes you through an old, abandoned strip mine right in the heart of Appalachia. Enjoy beautiful mountain views and plenty of local wildlife along the way. Because this is a very isolated area, cell reception is spotty, so downloading maps ahead of time is highly recommended.

Difficulty

Although the whole trail is a gravel road, towards the end, some washouts and ruts could change with the weather. Most high-clearance 2WD vehicles should not have issues.
