Trail Overview

Patterson Creek Road is a great spot to find creek-side campsites. There are a half dozen sites scattered along this 7-mile route. Some are just off of the road, and a few are further off the track. You'll encounter several water crossings as well. Most are relatively short, but a couple on the northeastern end are wider and vary in depth depending on recent rains. During periods of heavy rain, some of the water crossings could be over three feet deep and have significant current. Cell service is spotty along most of the route. The northeastern is gated, but you can continue via Oi Road close to the end of Patterson Creek Road.

Difficulty

Outside of periods of significant rain, this is a relatively smooth and well-maintained gravel track. It's usually wide enough for two vehicles to pass outside of a few spots. During heavy rains, the water crossings could be a challenge for vehicles

Nice easy trial to test your modifications. Plenty of camping, cell service is a little spotty so if you're unsure take a friend.

Easy trail, multiple creek crossings, water was very shallow, couple inches maybe, not a lot of rain lately. Only thing to note, some of the dips to cross the stream are a little steep and short distance before the trail rebounds back up; buddy’s f150 trailer hitch dragged a couple times.

Rained on and off. Most of the trail is gravel and small sections of small loose rocks. There were 3-5 small water crossings. Saw a young black bear. Any vehicle with little clearance can take the drive and enjoy the trail!

Pictured is the only real water I encountered. It was a beautiful ride through the woods. Longer wheelbase vehicles will need to take creek crossings slowly to avoid scraping but the Bronco made it through no problem. Did the whole trail in 2WD.

Drove this today in light rain. A few of the water crossings were still dry/no water flow. The picture is from one of the 2 longer water crossings (this is the one near the end of the trail). The water was 2-3" deep. None of the water at any other crossing was deeper than this.

The road is in good shape, but a couple of the creek crossings require high clearance. Passed a couple of other vehicles.
