Trail Overview

Little Otter, designated as FS 322, is a short, well‑maintained gravel road that remains open year‑round. The trail offers an easy and relaxing drive through the forest, with low vegetation overgrowth and no meaningful obstacles along the route. Several signs appear near the beginning of the road, indicating that it leads to private property. The trail itself remains within the national forest until its end, where a gate and chain block further access. There is adequate room to turn vehicles around at this point. Travel beyond the cable is not permitted. Dispersed camping is allowed along the trail within national forest boundaries.

Very well maintained. Few spots to pull aside for an overnight trip and to hang out/cook. Extremely easy and short trail. Perfect for beginners (this was my first ever trail)!
