Garden Mountain Road

Garden Mountain Road is a two-track trail accessed from Blue Grass Trail that travels up and over Sheets Mountain. The route is a mixture of gravel and dirt and provides a peaceful drive through the surrounding forest and mountain landscape. In some sections, the trail becomes somewhat tight, but there is still enough room to accommodate larger vehicles without significant difficulty. The trail is free of major obstacles, although users may encounter occasional mud puddles, particularly after wet weather. Garden Mountain Rd appears to see less traffic than some of the nearby trails, so users should be prepared to encounter fallen branches or other natural debris along the route. There are also two spur trails that branch off Garden Mountain Rd. Both are posted as private property, so users should respect the signage and remain on the designated trail. Overall, Garden Mountain Rd offers a quieter and less-traveled mountain experience.
