Trail Overview

CC50 is a 4-mile route with varied terrain ranging from easy to moderate difficulty. Part of it is a shelf-style path cut into the hillside that is generally narrow, but smooth or covered in minor loose rock. There are sections of steep climbing and more loose and embedded rock. Other sections are grassy and overgrown, and wider on the hilltops or under powerlines. The eastern portion of the loop features a wide, graded gravel road passing oil and gas sites, interspersed with narrower stretches that include steeper grades and loose rock. It's overall a moderate route due to frequent steep and rocky spots.
