Trail Overview

An amazing way to see real Vermont with never-ending views and just technical enough to keep you thinking. The route is a mix of dirt roads and class four roads with minimal pavement, probably only 10 miles total. If it has rained in the last few days the difficulty will increase a bit there are a number of spots that will hold water. There is very limited cell coverage for the entire thing so be prepared with downloaded maps. A stock 4x4 should be fully able to complete with some good spotting. This is one of the best I've mapped in Vermont so far.

Difficulty

The class four roads are in relatively good condition, but rain will increase the difficulty a bit. You will want to have ground clearance to avoid damage. There are very few drive-arounds for the technical portions.

Very nice trail mapped, loads of scenic views and easily managed with a Land Rover Discovery and Jeep Wrangler.

Fun day trip. Mostly dirt roads with a few trails thrown in the mix. Was easier for smaller or midsized trucks. We had a full size Tundra with us that had to go slower due to tight areas. All trucks were lifted and made it through with no issues. Probably should be a 3/4 rating. Mostly dry when we were there but there were some small mud holes. Nothing crazy technical on it.

A casual trail in a beautiful fall setting, there’s nothing o would consider technical on this.

Great day trip. Pack a lunch and picnic, great scenery as leaves are starting to change. Very dry, rocky in a couple spots. We had to use a spotter as to not bottom out with stock lift but no issues otherwise. Locals are friendly and wave, there are TONS of hiking trails and a fun little quest on Tucker mountain.

Did the entire trail in about 3.5 hour at slow pace. It was very dry so any 4x4 could easly do it.

Thanks to whoever mapped this out! Mostly dirt trails through the country, a few fun class 4 roads, and a couple paved roads. It would be harder and more fun after rain or snow.

We tackled this route from east to west. Be cautious of Corrigan Rd and Old Stagecoach Rd. Deep ruts with soupy mud and hidden rocks about halfway up Corrigan with another section when you turn onto Old Stagecoach Road. We used maxtrax as a precaution. Everything else was good to go, just wish we had better weather so we could soak up the views.

80% dirt road, 10% pavement, 10% 5/10. Not complaining - great drive through Vermont, wonderful scenery. Thanks to whoever mapped this!
