This trail was fairly easy when we went. Washboard was moderate, the sand was totally fine, and we had no issues. Definitely not as bad as some other reviews made it sound!

Extreme washboard from HouseRock Road to the Ranch. After the ranch make a hard left, that is where the patches of deep sand and ledge rock begin. Air down and keep reasonable momentum and no issues. Hard material at the Gate, co
lose the gate after passing. Entry at parking very rutted.

The roads coming up to this road has the worst washboarding I've ever seen. The road to white pockets was easy. Did it in 2wd with traction control still on but on k03s. Hadn't rained in a while. Saw a few awd vehicles with street tires at the trail head.

No problem with proper off road tires and good ground clearance. I was driving a Nissan Frontier with Falken Wildpeak AT4's. I passed an abandoned stuck rental Jeep Cherokee with street tires on the way in. I also passed a Dodge Grand Caravan on the way out.

Road was in decent shape, absolute crap ton of nasty washboard until you get into the sand and it smooths out. Don’t be the guy trying to take a sedan up this trail, you won’t make it.

Famous and busy as expected. Encountered a stuck vehicle on the way in and pulled it out also as expected. Please get to know your vehicle and how to drive in sand, choose your path wisely. An experienced off roader might make it fine in 2wd. We aired down to 25 psi just in case, didn't have to pick up speed and made through fine. A lot of AWD vehicles also made through no problem. If you have some experience off roading, this would be rated 2/10 max. And winter weather made it easier due to the wet and packed sands.

Not hard, but very sandy. Need clearance and speed you’ll be fine. White Pocket is amazing!!!

This trial was so worth it , definitely a wild trail! But BE AWARE you will need a high clearance vehicle with 4WD, a lot of sand and gravel road with some pot holes. But the sand is the worst some spots are higher packed sand then others. So be prepared.

Super easy, just a bit sandy. As long as you have 4x4 you’re chillin

Not bad at all - only bottomed out on sand a few times. Definitely needs 4WD.

Light snow when we went. Only saw three cars passing us. Sand was well packed - only a few spots of concern. We aired down to 25psi but maintained 20-25 mph speeds with no issues. Could see a brave Subaru try it but anything less and be ready for a tow truck.

today the road was relatively firm. It rained a week ago and there were only a few short sections of dry deep sand. Short like 30-50 feet long and flat. With tires aired down to 20 psi and 10 inches of clearance there were no tricky spots. For safety I had a jeep Rubicon follow me just in case. PS: the road to south Coyote buttes had deeper ruts that challenged my ground clearance

With light rain the night before, the trail was in great condition on 12/25/2024. The sand wash was nicely packed, so any 4x4 could easily do it. We even saw a Subaru Crosstrek made it through. Helped a stuck Chevy Trailblazer on the way back. Please be sensible, don't take your FWD rental here.

trail is open, sandy as usual with a few deep pockets here and there. several stock vehicles in the parking area so we pushed the extra 1/4 mile to the secluded parking area. if you do this be advised the sand is deep.

I was hoping for a more challenging drive. The track is sandy with some rocks to negotiate here and there but it’s not bad at all. A stock Subaru Forester made it. It’s a little bit sporty but nothing treacherous.
