Trail Overview

This is a beautiful climb through some challenging areas with steeper grades and lots of rocks. The trail is manageable by most off-road capable vehicles but 4WD is a necessity. There are great rock features that offer some additional excitement to the trail. There are areas near the top that offer a good place to stop for lunch. Once you break out of the trees on top there is often a breeze blowing. Make sure to stop and take a look around as the views from the top are beautiful.

Difficulty

This trail has areas where the climbs are lengthy with lots of rocks and smaller ledges. There are also some shallow water crossings from the creeks. In heavy rains, these do become more challenging. Like Limekiln, the Freemont ATV Trail, and Casto Bowl this is a trail that is not recommended when storms are nearby. As this is a desert environment those are infrequent.

water crossings but no water this time of the year. If it rains it would be no fun. we came from Casto Bowl and connected to Center Creek. great trail, lots of fall colors and things to look at
