Trail Overview

This trail traverses a large geographic bowl with beautiful views of the surrounding area. While the maps show it as Casto Bluff the locals call it Casto Bowl. It is a single-track trail that is generally easy except for one small area, that has an underground spring, which can be boogy and washed if there has been recent rainfall. The views are captivating and this is a great place to take a little break along your journey to stop, get out, and enjoy the surroundings. This trail leads to many trails farther to the east of Panguitch where you can climb higher for some better views or get that prise elk for hunters.

Difficulty

This trail can have some washes that need crossing, as well as the one area mentioned previously, that can add a little excitement to the trip. This area has deep ruts, off-camber situations, and can hold water if it has rained recently. There are some unauthorized bypasses but please stay on the trail.
