Trail Overview

Twisty Turny Teeth Chattering Powerline Trail is a moderately easy 3.8-mile trail ideal for high-clearance four-wheel-drive vehicles, SxSs, and ATVs looking to navigate a bumpy, rocky route with panoramic desert views. Winding alongside major utility lines, this route features a primarily rocky surface with several long, loose rocky hill climbs and minor washouts that demand careful tire placement. A recent grader run has cleared out many of the larger boulders, but it left behind notable, deep potholes and holes in their wake that will test your vehicle's suspension. With a technical rating of 3, the trail climbs from a minimum elevation of 4,396 feet to a peak of 4,623 feet, offering a scenic but bumpy ride that connects the local trail network directly to the Enterprise Reservoir trail system. While navigating the terrain, drivers can expect two bars of LTE cellular service throughout most of the route, providing a helpful safety net. While there are no established campsites along the trail itself, a large open clearing at the northern terminus serves as a suitable staging area or a temporary spot to park. This northern area also provides convenient access to the southern entrance of the local ATV trail network. Given the unshaded and rocky nature of the terrain, this trail is best enjoyed during the cooler spring and autumn months when temperatures are mild.
