Trail Overview

From the Little Creek Mesa Trail, this 4.5-mile track loops around to the rocky outcropping on top of the Mesa. It's great fun for dirt bikes, quads, 4x4s, and SXSs. The views of the valley from the top of the Mesa are beautiful. The views of Zion National Park are stunning. If it's snowed or rained recently, this trail will be muddy. We spent two hours playing on the slick rocks up top. Rattlesnakes are common in the area, as are tarantulas and scorpions.

Difficulty

Areas of erosion are common especially after a hard rain. Off-camber areas exist in the rocks, and the trail includes lots of easy desert trails.

Easy trail with very little obstacles. On a bike you can run the entire outer loop in under 2 hours. Incredibly scenic.

The slick rock section has a couple areas that we didn’t want to deal with being that our truck has such a long wheel base. If you have had a SXS, Jeep or Tacoma, would have been easy. We parked and then walked in to see the petroglyphs. They are near the small pond right near where the trail turns back in. On the SW edge of pond.
