Trail Overview
This trail splits off of Rockslide Safari and follows Mill Creek up the canyon where it dead ends at an overlook just before it turns into Trail Creek ATV Trail, with the headwaters of Mill Creek and Trail Creek on each side of the small hilltop. This trail starts off being easier with no large obstacles, but after you pass the seasonal creek crossing, the trail becomes skinnier and a lot rougher with larger rocks and ruts. This trail is highly scenic with amazing views all around as you climb higher up the canyon to where the trail dead ends at around 10,650 feet in elevation. This trail is open May 1st to December 15th, but may be inaccessible during the beginning and end of the season due to deep snow or the early closure or late opening of North Slope Road.
Difficulty
4.1 miles into the trail, there is a steeper hill climb with lots of loose rock, and 2.9 miles into the trail, there is a shallow seasonal creek crossing.
