Trail Overview

FS 051 is a short ATV trail through the Wasatch National Forest accessed off of Mill Creek - FS 061. The ATV trail is 2 miles long and is mostly a wide dirt and gravel path with a mix of flowy dirt and rocky terrain. There are a couple of semi-steep spots with shallow ruts and big loose rocks that make the trail slightly more technical. It makes a few tight turns as it winds up a hillside, along a shelf section next to an open hillside full of blowdown, and then through a wide forested corridor of lodgepole pine trees. It goes past a couple unmarked spur trails that were less ridden with downed logs, but trail 051 looked frequently ridden. The north end of the trail had a big mud puddle with ruts and a small downed log. It connects to 4x4 FS 295 on the north end.

Difficulty

Although there are several rocky sections of the trail, it is still easy overall, as the terrain is gradual and wide. Expect ruts and loose rocks and small rock ledges less than a foot tall. Overall it is ideal for less experienced riders.
