Island Lake Campground - FS 50136

This trail is a short spur off of Skyline Drive that branches off and heads to an overlook of Island Lake. This trail is easy, with only a few small rocks and ruts scattered throughout the trail and a shallow mudhole in the trail that is in a wide enough spot to mostly avoid. This trail stays in the trees up until the very end, where it enters a large field overlooking the lake with some dispersed camp spots scattered near the end of the trail. This trail is open to all vehicles and has no set seasonal closure date, but will be impassable due to deep snow from November through to July in most years.
