Trail Overview

This is a fun trail through the cedar trees that takes you across the mesa to an exceptional overlook of the infamous Hog Canyon Trailhead, a portion of Kanab, and the mountains to the west. This is a great place to sit down for lunch and just take in the beauty that is so prevalent in this area. The route is somewhat narrow for wider vehicles, as there are sharp turns through close trees. Wider vehicles will probably come out with a few scratches.

Difficulty

The trail is through sand areas that will vary with difficulty depending on recent rain conditions. Some of the trail is maintained, as it is used by tour operators who transit the area going to Cutler Point. There can be large ruts and dips, as some people fail to run their vehicles in 4WD to minimize wheel spin and the resulting ruts.

Fun trail, not difficult. Great scenery. Sandy but not deep sand on this ride. No crowds.
