Trail Overview
This route branches off Salt Wash North and climbs toward Green River Farms LLC through rugged desert terrain that is better suited for high clearance 4x4s. The trail is not especially long, but it includes enough obstacles to demand attention from both driver and vehicle. Numerous washouts cut across the route, creating uneven approaches, off-camber crossings, and sections where careful tire placement is important. Scattered rock ledges up to roughly 12 inches tall add another layer of difficulty and may challenge lower-clearance vehicles or those without underbody protection. One of the more notable obstacles is a loose rocky hill climb that can test traction and momentum, especially for vehicles without low-range gearing. A stock high clearance 4x4 is recommended, while modified rigs will have an easier time navigating the rougher sections. Along the way, the route offers open desert views and a sense of remote backcountry travel before reaching the upper area near Green River Farms LLC.
Difficulty
This route requires more than a basic dirt-road setup due to repeated washouts, rock ledges up to 12 inches tall, and a loose rocky hill climb. The obstacles are manageable for stock high clearance 4x4s, but traction, clearance, and careful line choice are important throughout the trail. Vehicles without a low range may struggle on the hill climb.
