Trail Overview

This trail is an out-and-back trail that starts at Utah Highway 44 and heads East to a scenic overlook of Flaming Gorge. This trail is a smooth, well-maintained road that is two vehicles wide throughout, with plenty of room to turn around and park at the overlook. Be sure to watch out for livestock along the trail, as there are multiple metal water pools and plenty of livestock that stay near them. The trail stays in the forest, crossing a few small clearings, but the highlight of this trail is the overlook at the end, from which you can see up and down the gorge with the reservoir at the bottom. This trail is open to all vehicles and has no seasonal closure date, but it may be impassable due to deep snow during the winter and spring months.
