Trail Overview

This short connector trail may not cover much distance, but it plays an important role as the only access in and out of D3114. Because of that, drivers should not underestimate it. The route includes several off-camber washouts that can test suspension articulation and require careful tire placement to keep the vehicle stable through uneven terrain. These sections are not necessarily extreme, but they demand attention and slower speeds. The trail also features steep hills combined with tight hairpin turns, creating a more technical challenge than the mileage suggests. Longer wheelbase vehicles may have the hardest time here, as breakover angles and turning radius can increase the risk of high centering or requiring multi-point maneuvers. Good clearance and a good 4lo range are helpful, especially when descending or climbing the tighter switchbacks. While brief, this trail is a functional and engaging connector that adds just enough difficulty to keep capable drivers interested.

Difficulty

This trail is short but more technical than it first appears. Off-camber washouts, steep hills, and tight hairpin turns require careful driving, especially for longer wheelbase vehicles that may risk high centering or need multi-point turns. There are no extreme obstacles, but terrain and vehicle size can make it challenging.
