Trail Overview

Cummings Parkway Road links Cascade Springs Drive with Snake Creek Road (FR 085). The majority of this road is in Wasatch Mountain State Park, but as you approach Snake Creek Road, it will meander into the Uinta National Forest. A few campsites can be found along this trail, but branch out from here for more options. There are some stunning views along this road, typical of the area. Visit in early fall for a magnificent show of reds, oranges, and yellows as the leaves change color.

Difficulty

From Cascade Springs Dr, this trail starts out easy enough for most any vehicle. The road is wide enough for two vehicles to pass, gravel, and relatively flat. However, the trail turns to dirt and rock and is not appropriate for regular 2WD vehicles. You may encounter small ledges and loose rock. For the majority of the trail, there is only room enough for one vehicle with places to pass.

Awesome road lots of fun heading up the hill. Low speed “wheeling” over some rough rocky terrain. Will definitely be hitting this road again soon

Accidentally made this trip from Snake Creek over to Cascade Springs in my 2013 Honda Accord. Saw a couple side by sides and 4 wheelers (pansies). No other Japanese passenger vehicles though...hmmm. Sorry, no photos, the pucker factor was too high. Happy to report no damage to the Accord but my mini schnauzer peed himself going over one of the rocky sections.

Fall colors are in abundance. It's very beautiful right now. About a mile into the trail it becomes very rocky. probably 3-6 inches tall rocks emerging from the ground across the entire road. It remains rough and rocky until the trail connects to snake creek. You will need to air down your tires. There are a few spots with larger rocks and ruts but all 4x4 should handle this trail just fine. Most of the rocks are firmly stuck in the ground so not a lot of loose or sliding rock just a lot of emerging and bumpy rock edges.

Pretty easy trail with a few rocky sections. Saw a couple of trucks, motorcycles, man bikes and sidexside’s.

Super scenic trail, pretty safe for most cars but there are some rocky spots and some drops that exist.
