Trail Overview
Non-Resident OHV permits apply to ATVs, UTVs, and dirt bikes. Plated street-legal vehicles typically do not need one on legal motorized routes. This county road forms part of the Owl Draw Road network and serves as an easy, scenic connector through the high desert landscape. The route eventually meets County Road #344, making it a useful access road for travelers linking multiple areas together. For most of the drive, the road is fairly maintained and wide enough for two vehicles to pass comfortably. Conditions are generally mild, but there are a few rougher sections with more exposed rock where lower clearance 2WD or crossover style AWD vehicles should slow down and choose their line carefully to avoid bottoming out. Outside of those brief spots, the road remains straightforward and suitable for a wide range of vehicles in dry conditions. Along the way, drivers are treated to broad views of the surrounding terrain, open desert country, and the distant La Sal Mountains rising above the horizon. This is a practical route for access, sightseeing, and enjoying the scenery between more technical trails.
Difficulty
This county road is mostly maintained, two vehicles wide, and easy to travel in dry conditions. The only challenges are a few rougher rocky spots where lower-clearance 2WD or crossover AWD vehicles should slow down to avoid bottoming out.
