Trail Overview

Arch Trail is a mile-long loop off of the Red Rocks Trail that is a fun detour in the White Wash Area that is easy to miss and ride right past. Starting at the west entrance, it goes along the rim of a mesa elevated above a sandy wash. Then it goes through a wide-open desert on a sandy dirt trail with a lot of dramatic whoops and embedded rocks, up and over small hills. There are some really neat big rock formations out in this desert that the trail goes right past. There are big red boulders on the side of the trail, loose rock piles, and small ledges at the tops of small hills, but no really big obstacles. There is a small arch formation near the east intersection with the Red Rocks Trail that is unique to see.
