Trail Overview

This 1-mile alternate start (or ending) for the Day Canyon Point Trail is a more challenging route than the start of the regular Day Canyon Point Trail. Several small ledges up to 18" in height to climb and descend. The beginning can be difficult to find, due to multiple trails through the sand. Remain to the right and you will come across the correct trail.

I have no idea if it when it will reopen, but I thought I'd take it after seeing several posts since I live in the area. However, there is a "Restoration Area - No Vehicles" sign with posts and ropes preventing anyone from driving the last 1-1.5 miles. I decided not to hike it in so I could at least get in another trail while I had time and daylight, but I was pretty disappointed after seeing the views. Still very pretty, but expect to walk in for the last bit if you're wanting to take it! Up to this point, I wouldn't rate it a 4, maybe a 2...
