Trail Overview

Levee Loop is a scenic trail located at Boca Chica Beach that offers excellent views of South Padre Island and the back side of the beach. The route winds through coastal vegetation and provides a quieter alternative to driving directly on the sand. Along the way, you'll experience a mix of open views and narrow sections lined with tall vegetation, making it a fun trail for exploring the inland side of Boca Chica.

Difficulty

This trail features a mix of sand, dirt, and muddy sections with several minor off-camber areas throughout the route. Tall vegetation narrows portions of the trail and may cause light pinstriping on wider vehicles. While the trail is generally manageable for most high-clearance 4x4 vehicles, traction can become a challenge after rain.
