Trail Overview

This majestic 2.2-mile trail travels along the red canyon walls, weaving through the mesquite brush and cactus. There will be steep climbs and descents while making tight turns. There are sections of off-camber while climbing and descending throughout. There will be areas of small boulders and several 2' ledges that may require at least one locker. There are hairpin turns that will challenge a more extended wheelbase vehicle and will require multi-point turns. This trail can be run from either direction, creating an entirely new experience with varying degrees of difficulty.

This is now my new favorite trail in the park, it’s allot like Middle Earth, but turned up to 11. There are lots of really fun climbs and descents, off camber sections, and great views as you go up and down. I have a TJ on 33’s with dual lockers and a 4” lift. I really liked the 4:1 low range on this trail to keep things slow and steady, and I used my lockers a fair bit, but for the most part we cruised through with some challenge, but the fun kind of challenge.

Labor Day Monday. We didn’t see any other people out on the trails that day. My Jeep with 3” lift, 35” tires on 20” wheels, and no lockers, had no Issues on this trail.
