Jurassic Park (V30) is a highly technical off-road trail located in the southwestern portion of Escondido Draw Recreation Area and is designed primarily for rock crawlers and experienced off-road drivers. The route travels through rugged, rocky terrain filled with large boulders, uneven surfaces, and off-camber sections that provide a variety of challenging obstacles. Reaching Jurassic Park requires traveling through other trails within the park, adding to the remote nature of this section. With its combination of rocks, boulders, and technical terrain, this trail offers the type of challenging rock-crawling experience this area of the park is known for.

Difficulty

Jurassic Park (V30) is a difficult rock-crawling trail featuring large boulders, off-camber sections, uneven rocky terrain, and obstacles that require careful tire placement. A highly capable four-wheel-drive vehicle with low-range gearing, high ground clearance, vehicle protection, and appropriate recovery equipment is strongly recommended. This trail is best suited for experienced drivers in modified or purpose-built rock crawlers, and stock vehicles are not recommended.
