Trail Overview
Green Lane is a narrow and winding off-road trail inside Escondido Draw Recreation Area that travels through a mix of gravel and dirt terrain. Much of this section is fairly easy, but the trail becomes noticeably tighter as it winds between trees and brush. Full-size vehicles can make it through, but some areas offer very little room on either side, so drivers should expect some Texas pinstriping along the way. There are also several rutted sections that require careful tire placement, but overall the trail remains a fun and manageable route through this part of the park.
Difficulty
Green Lane (A4) is a moderate trail with mostly easy gravel and dirt terrain mixed with tighter sections, ruts, and uneven surfaces. Four-wheel drive is recommended, and some of the deeper ruts require good tire placement, but there are no major technical obstacles. Full-size vehicles can complete the trail, although the narrow sections between trees and brush can be tight and may result in scratches along wider vehicles.
