Trail Overview
The East Rise Point Trail provides access to the Area 300 campsites and some of the most spectacular views in the canyon. Whether you want to sit and watch rigs entering the canyon via the drop-in or you want an eagle-eye view of the trails in the central part of the canyon, you will find plenty of reasons to drive this trail. At the end of the trail is our GMRS repeater tower and a great viewpoint looking east and south down a large expanse of the park. In early morning and evening hours, it is not unusual to come across large herds of mule deer or aoudad sheep bedding down.
