Trail Overview

Brown Branch, Forest Service Road 233C, travels through a secluded, wooded section of Sam Houston National Forest and provides access into the surrounding trail network. The surface is a mix of dirt and gravel with uneven sections, ruts, and occasional standing water depending on weather conditions. This road offers direct access to the Lake Loop 814 trail and sees regular multi-use traffic near the intersection. There is at least one established pull-off suitable for dispersed camping, though no services are available. High-clearance vehicles are recommended, cell service is limited, and shared use should be expected throughout the route.
