In a stock ‘25 Jeep Gladiator, scrapped in a couple spots but no big deal. It’s a rocky ride but fun. Bring your water shoes and shorts to enjoy the cold creek waters in Sarvis Cove. About 7/8 the way up top, look for the pull off to the right to take in the breathtaking overlook.

Very rocky, slow going trail. Lots of fun water crossings with little waterfalls. View on top is quite nice. I d go wouldn’t take anything larger than a 3rd gen 4runner. The switchbacks are a little tight so if your wheel base is too long you could struggle. Biggest hangup is the lack of passing areas. You can definitely do it in a fair amount of places but you can easily get screwed and have to back down really far. Lot of fun, seems to be open year round.

It had been raining all day when I came. I’d give this trail a 3/10 just because of how rocky it is. Nothing challenging just really bumpy. Some rocks toward the top of the mountains should be approached cautiously but this trail can be driven straight through and back no issues. The switch backs are narrow, and the trail itself can become very narrow towards the top. At the beginning of the trail there was a fallen tree so I winched it off to the side. Numerous creek crossings keep this trail fun and all are easily crosssed no problem aar all. Again this trail is out about 4 miles and back about 4 miles; 2 hours up 1 hour down.

This is a very rocky and steep trail, many large rocks that take some time to maneuver around. Once you get 2.8 miles in you start the real climb of about a 50° angle with very far drop on one side. There are some narrow trees you need to squeeze through so I’d say a mid size truck is the biggest id go. There are rangers on this trail occasionally so be aware of that.

Slippery and wet rocks everywhere, but a great view at the end of it.

Steep and rocky in spots, would recommend having some recovery gear just in case and for sure air down. Was a fun in and out trail with a killer overlook at the top.

This is such a beautiful trail! So many trees, stream crossings, and stunning views.
It's not very challenging - just long and bumpy. I would rate it a 4, if not for one short off-camber section (21 degree roll) and precious few places for vehicles to pass.
Hot tip - I would not recommend taking full size trucks on this trail. It's just right for Jeep (sized vehicles).

We made it to the top in a 69 International Scout on 29 inch tires. The trail is fairly technical, especially if you have smaller tires trying to clear the rocks. The water crossings were no problem. There were a few off camber areas that were a pucker factor of about seven with our narrow wheelbase. The last quarter of the trail in distance is steep with several very tight switchbacks. One of the first switchback is followed by a short, steep muddy area that required one person in our party to winch because as they were spinning their tires, they were also creeping closer to the edge. In the last quarter of the trail, I’m not sure how you would pass anyone. I would recommend stopping at the first switchback and turning off your motor and listen a bit for vehicles coming down. We were lucky enough to not see anyone on the trail until we were leaving around noon. It took us two hours to go up and a little over an hour to get down. We did take a break going up. The view at the top is great.

I could not access the trail because there was a gate blocking it with many signs saying that the trail was closed because of a storm.

Great trail! It was a little rainy starting things off and after multiple water crossings, it was just slightly slick over some of the bigger rocky sections. To be expected of course. I was aired down as well. Some of those sections are fun and made things interesting. Slow going through most of it. Nothing too crazy. One slightly sketchy spot passing under a downed tree on a muddy hillside with a drop off. The view at the top is great! I enjoyed all the water crossings and general scenery on the trail. Definitely recommend it!

Other than a low hanging tree that I was too tall to scoot under the trail was clear. It’s a rocky trail with several water crossings and small waterfalls. Some small mud mud holes but nothing crazy
