Trail Overview

This is a challenging trail but doable with a high-clearance vehicle as long as you choose very specific lines. We did this trail in a stock Jeep Gladiator with 33" tires with no lift and only maxed out our clearance one time. Before starting this trail remember, trail difficulty is subjective and largely due to experience and rig setup. The most challenging areas have by-passes so you do not have to do those. The trail starts fairly easy but quickly descends at around an 18-degree pitch to the creek crossing. The creek crossing could be difficult if there have been a lot of recent rains. Climbing out of the creek area isn't too steep and has one switchback. At around 2 miles there is a climb with rock ledges. This is where I dragged the rear differential just a little. At mile 3.25 there is a very difficult section that you should only attempt if you are experienced and have great clearance. Fortunately, there is a bypass to the right. At mile 3.5 there is another difficult section that you should only attempt if you are experienced and have great clearance. There is a bypass on the right for this one too. At mile 4.4 there are two trails that you can take on the right side of the trail that appear to be difficult. The rest of the drive-out is easy. There are a few spurs off of this trail but we didn't have time to take any of them. We had spotty cell service on the trail (Verizon). https://youtu.be/hibRLgU4auw

We ran this both directions today. I was able to get through everything with a stock TJ on 31s wth the exception of the two larger rock step areas, where I chose the bypasses instead. Our friend in a built JKU enjoyed playing on the rocks.

First time on this trail and had a nice time. First, all obstacles had bypass which I would take if you don’t have high clearance 4x4. Secondly, ledges are steep up to maybe 2-3 ft in several areas but passable taking the right line. Creek was flowing pretty good maybe 18” inches deep. We traveled north to south. There was a little drop off before getting to south side. I am going to travel south the north next time as it will be little more challenging travel up hill than mostly down hill. Seen few atv’s, 1 Runner, & 1 Chevy.

Shorter wheelbases will do fine but scraped the skid plates a few times in stock rubicon gladiator. Fun trail, a little lift or 35s would have helped.
