Trail Overview

Citico CRreekNorth (FSR 35-1) is a well-traveled gravel/ rocky road. This trail will take you down to the beautiful Citico Creek. Citico Creek is well known for its fishing, However, if you want a scenic easy trail, it makes a peaceful afternoon drive. Cell service is hard to come by so make sure you download the offline maps.

Trail was fun, did it all with 2wd. Saw an accord and Kia soul, along with other economy cars. So it’s not difficult, there are some small mud holes, and rocky sections that will bounce you around if you don’t air down tires and slow down. Double camp was really fun but I don’t think the Kia soul would’ve made it. I passed a good amount of people, they were all kind and most stopped way ahead of me to let me pass.

Looking for a campsite for the evening was a bit of a challenge as everyone else had the same idea to explore this beautiful area. Lots of traffic down this road, bunch of potholes but easy nice drive

Took this route to get to Santeetlah Lake from Vonore, TN. Tons of hunters and bikes on the trail. At the far south end of the trail you can continue further on Citico Creek South, or take Double Camp for a more elevated adventure. Recommend airing out your tires as there were some rocky patches along the way. My brother-in-laws stock X-Terra and Santa Cruz made it over just fine. Take the turns slowly as motorcyclists will take it blazing fast around tight corners. LOTS of hunters.
