Trail Overview

82 can be run in either direction, but most people run it from west to east. If run from east to west, it will be more difficult because there is a large rock formation to climb immediately as you enter the trail off of 83. This trail is scenic with rock faces on one side and a drop-off on the other. There are small rock-bottom water holes and small elevation changes along this route.

Trail was definitely not a blue trail. This needs to be upgraded to at least a black diamond. We had several jeeps on 40s with lockers that had to winch the south rockface about midway through, only to find the rockface to the north, right at 83 completely undoable to get out. We had to spin around and go back out the way we came.

Trail was dry and the first rock face required to air down the shoes and walked right up it on 33’s in a RZR Pro S. The second face that is a decent ledge is scary looking but the drop is relatively smooth.
