Trail Overview

This trail consists of large embedded rocks, loose rocks, gravel, dirt, deep ruts, off-camber climbs, and small rock gardens. The trail begins off Pillar Peak 8041 and terminates at a junction with Lost Gulch - FS 172.1H. This section of trail is challenging, with deep ruts cut into somewhat steep climbs and many rocky areas. A capable off-road vehicle is recommended to safely traverse this, but a stock 4x4 may be able to get through; however, damage would likely occur and is not recommended.

Difficulty

This trail has many climbs that are rutted with large rocks and roots, increasing the difficulty. Some climbs are off camber. There are several large embedded boulders that need to be crossed in rock gardens. Depending on the vehicle driven, line selection will determine how easily or difficult it is to complete. The trail difficulty would definitely increase in adverse weather conditions.
