Trail Overview

Tram Road is a well-maintained gravel trail in Rothrock State Forest. The trail follows the valley floor along a mountain providing access to other off-road trails. The trail traverses a forest of deciduous trees, rhododendrons, and small creeks. The spring rhododendron bloom and fall foliage are especially scenic. The trail is one vehicle wide with occasional areas to pull off and pass. Only highway-legal vehicles are allowed. ATVs are not allowed.

The trail has occasional small pot holes and 2" rocks.

We used tram to get over to Colerain from PA Furnance. It had sections of full snow, and ice in tracks.
