Trail Overview

Fox Road is located within the Bald Eagle State Forest, near the intersection of Ramm Road. Fox Road is a connecting route to the mountainous area between Route 192 and Interstate 80 in Central Pennsylvania. Fox Road is set around a network of dirt roads and trails for snowmobiling. The closest connecting road is Ramm Road, which connects to Ramm Road East. The area is managed by the Pennsylvania Department of Conservation and Natural Resources. Fox Road is mostly a dirt road and a high-elevation shelf road. The road is wide enough for two vehicles. It is an in-and-out trail. There are hiking and biking trails in the vicinity, including the Brush Ridge Trail, Cowbell Hollow Trail, and the Bear Gap Trail. Due to a shelf road obstacle, this trail may become more difficult to drive in the winter months due to snow and ice.
