Trail Overview

Shaw Mountain Road is a nicely graded dirt road with a short gravel section on the northern end. It is an easy ride in the summer months, however there is no winter maintenance. During times of rain, snow, and ice, the road will become harder to travel on. Shaw Mountain Road is within both Bald Eagle and Tiadaghton State Forests.

Shaw Mountain Road is primarily a graded dirt road. It will become rutted and washed out in the spring due to snow melting. There is no winter maintenance on this road so during times of snow and ice in the winter it will become more difficult.
