Trail Overview

Sisters Campsite Road is an easy, scenic 4.1-mile unpaved route starting near Sisters High School, providing quick access to the Deschutes National Forest. Winding through dense ponderosa pine forests, this trail is ideal for beginner offroaders, overland rigs, and high-clearance vehicles, including those towing single-axle or teardrop trailers. The route features mostly flat dirt and gravel surfaces, crossing Brush Draw with minimal technical obstacles. Numerous spacious, primitive dispersed campsites offer excellent stargazing close to town, and the main campsite area includes an equestrian staging area. Larger motorhomes or multi-axle trailers should use more direct forest service access roads instead of this winding path.

Difficulty

This is a great trail for Overland Rigs including those with a teardrop adventure trailer in tow. Any trailer bigger than a single axle or motorhomes larger than a sprinter should take the more direct access roads.

Did this as part of a loop with Sisters to Trout Creek Butte Trails. Easy, fun ride. Some narrowing due to manzanita. Combination of dirt roads and trails. One spot of climbing over a short rocky area.
