Trail Overview
Ridgeline is a short but very scenic dirt bike trail in the Mount Emily Recreation Area that rides along the edge of the mountain with views overlooking the rural valley below and towards the Wallowa Mountains to the east. The trail is a flowy dirt single track, not too narrow, that starts on the north end at a wide overlook that could be used as parking. It goes south for about .6 miles until it meets up with the Dead Bull singletrack. The north end has the scenic view, and then it drops into the forest as it goes south, flowing over several little drop offs/mountain bike jumps. This trail is more fun in the downhill direction due to the jumps. There are a few sections with small loose rock covering the surface of the trail, but mostly it’s just smooth dirt and a few intermittent roots. There are trail maps at both ends of the trail.
Difficulty
This is overall an easy trail with minor rocky sections. Expect small loose rocks and shelfy sections, as it rides along the edge of the mountain. The trail will be slightly more difficult in the uphill direction (south to north), as you will have to ride up the “jumps,” which are easier to drop off of in the downhill direction.
