Trail Overview

FS 2257-516 is a short out-and-back trail primarily used to access Presley Lake. The surface consists of hard-pack gravel with a few 1-foot-tall water bars and small, softball-sized rocks scattered along the route. At the end of the trail, visitors are rewarded with a large, flat parking area at the lake entrance that can easily accommodate any size vehicle. This clearing features a stone fire ring right on the water's edge, making it an excellent spot for a break.

Difficulty

This trail earns a 2 due to the presence of 1-foot-tall water bars and scattered softball-sized rocks. However, because it is a very short, hard-packed gravel track that terminates in a spacious and flat turnaround area, it remains highly accessible and easy to navigate for most off-road vehicles.
