Perimeter Trail #40

The Perimeter Trail in the Prospect OHV trail system is 1.3 miles of easy two-track. This trail goes along the west perimeter of the Woodruff Play Area. It gradually snakes back and forth through the tall firs and hemlocks, with gradual curves. This trail is essentially flat, with hardly any elevation change. It accesses all of the other easy ATV trails within the Play Area, including the Boring Trail, the Maze Trail, and the Learners Loop, and all of the intersections are well marked with signs and indications of when the trail is one-way, indicating when not to enter. The Perimeter Trail crosses a road after the intersection with the Learners Loop, so riders need to watch out for cars entering the staging area. From the staging area, it continues north for another half mile of trail to connect to #24.
