Trail Overview

When entering Patterson Mountain Road from Highway 58 in the beginning, there is a dirt bike trail that runs across the road called Lawler #3473 Trail. Keep an eye out for riders. This road runs through the Willamette National Forest and is very easy gravel riding, but it can be twisty with blind corners. Thick trees offer a lot of shape on this road, and in some spots, it almost feels like it's nighttime during the day.

Previously fallen trees but debris cut enough to pass thru. Wet heavy foot of snow at the intersection of this trail at Mid Coast Ridge and it was hard going with 4wd even. Turned around to return down the Patterson Mtn Trail.
