Little Badger Creek

A dusty but well-maintained dirt trail that crosses through a nature preserve and continues into the Hood National Forest ending at a lush little forest campground with a creek running through it. The trail starts in a valley and ascends up the hillside to the top of the ridge. The views out over the valley are quite pretty. Once up on the ridge, the trail becomes quite forested but is still wide and well maintained. The trail crosses into a Nature Preserve, please observe all signage and stick to designated roads of the appropriate color. Continuing on the main trail, the nature preserve boundaries will end and Hood National Forest begins. Watch for lots of large potholes in the trail. There are some nice dispersed campsites in the trees as well as areas that are staked off for rehabilitation. Further down the trail take the left down to Little Badger Creek campground. It goes downhill into a grove of older larger trees and at the bottom is an open area with a few official dispersed campsites. Each has a picnic table and metal fire ring. A nice little creek runs behind the campsites.
