Trail Overview
This forest trail is user-maintained and doesn’t seem to get much use. The route begins on a hard gravel surface and eventually softens, with plenty of brush, trees, and undergrowth along the way. Expect significant pinstriping, as vegetation grows close to the trail, along with numerous potholes. During rainy conditions, several mud puddles can develop, so use extra caution when the road is wet. A very large tree hangs over the trail, so watch for it as you travel through the forest. The trail eventually reaches a section that appears more open and manageable, but fallen trees and heavy overgrowth completely block the route, including a massive tree across the road. There is no way around the blockage, so you cannot continue beyond this point. High-clearance vehicles, ATVs, and SxSs are recommended for this route; sedans and other low-clearance vehicles are not. The trail is one way in and one way out, so be prepared to return the same way you came. Grouse were also spotted in the area, and hunters seem to hunt them, so please watch for hunting activity. ATVs, UTVs, Side-by-Sides, and Dirt Bikes must always have a valid Oregon ATV Operating Permit sticker.
